    Rain

Had 33mm overnight and so far another 30mm today. I needed to get some fuel for the generator, as there has been no sun for three days. Found my normal route to the village blocked by Spring Creek - estimated six feet over the crossing, and running very fast, so I tried the alternative route through the neighbour on the other side - Boomley Creek about three feet over the crossing and running very fast. I could probably get through, but didn't think probably was good enough - and I don't know that crossing well enough.

So I went back home and siphoned 20l out of the County! That will keep the generator going for a couple of days.

Started here yesterday around 4pm, slow soaking rain on and off and have had 19mm so far.
Enough to work the ground, and it's the first rain for the year.
Radar shows that we might receive some more later tonight

Rain is supposed to stop, more or less tonight, with only showers tomorrow, Actually there has been no significant rain since my earlier post. Late today went to look at the creek, now crossable, only about two feet deep, went on to the river, which we (fortunately) have a private bridge across - it was around a metre deep, and running fast.
