    Not much rain in S.A.

Still bone dry here in good old S.A All though there were local areas around Adelaide that received 22mm on Friday. Nothing worth mentioning in the Barossa
Valley this year so far. Good to here the eastern states are getting good rain now. Hopefully ours will change soon

Last couple of days has been good rain, and raining again now as I type.

Just as it was drying out, good rain again, topped up the tank just fine.

Charters Towers sounds like it is in dire straights, hope it stops up there!

We have had a crap load of rain here, it rained all day on saturday, and pretty heavy aswell, didnt let up until late in the arvo. as a result the 4wd show was pretty light on for swap meet people and people through the gate, but in light of the lack of rain for so many years i have vowed never to complain about rain again, cause we need every drop.

Keep it coming - the Murray-Darling Basin needs it badly. At present the Murray near the mouth at Goolwa is below sea level!

    33mm Sat morning
17mm this morning and another 44mm in just over half an hour this afternoon, haven't seen rain like that for a while.

Amen, to that. At least it is falling on the right side of the mountains now, so we should at least get some flood water down the Murray, in a couple of months.

But for the time being, Lake Alexandrina and the lower Murray pool 1 are at 3 feet below sea level.
That, is Adelaide's main drinking water supply, for you interstate folks.
The Mannum to Adelaide pump station and pipeline is in Murray River Pool 1.

Well, since I haven't seen it in print for over fifty years, I don't think I am doing too badly if that is the worst error! I think you are right - ragged sounds more correct!
