Go away I cant get under my truck as we have had 65ml in the past few days.I cant even get some pics to put up for ya's to look at. Next few days maybe?
This afternoon we had 33mm in about half an hour - just while I was picking my grandchildren up from the school bus. Fortunately I had left a bit early as visibility was down to only a few metres at times.
When I left the house I assessed that it would miss us, and I would only get a few drops, so I only had a light jacket. It started just before the first gate, and when I opened the door to get out, a sheet of water blew almost horizontally straight in the driver's door, soaking me and wetting most of the interior. In true Landrover fashion, it leaked between the upper and lower doors, and through the Series 3 style window locks. There may have been other leaks, but these were masked by the amount of water that blew in at the gates plus the amount that I brought in at each gate.
On the way back, the rain had nearly stopped, but the creek I have to cross, which was only sand with a bit of water in the wheel tracks twenty minutes earlier, was now about a metre deep and running furiously and visibly rising. So back across the river, fortunately showing no signs of rising and only about two feet deep, and upstream to the crossing a kilometre or so higher, above where the creek comes in, and across it before the water got there from the next creek upstream. Then through the paddocks, another four extra gates.

Love the rain we are getting, makes it really easy to find mud for the Landy to play inWe have had water 50cm over some of the bridges here in Brookfield, something that has not happened for about 8 years
nothing better than driving past people in cars waiting on either side of a flooded road
