Yeagerup Dunes need a camping spot

Anyone know of any good camping spots in the Yeagerup dunes area?

I am considering Lake Jasper, and I know there are other spots around there, but just wondering if someone has a better suggestion. It needs to have room for 3 vehicles and tents.

This should be the last camping trip before the camper trailer arrives, that I haven't told you all about yet. All in good time

There are some great spots along the warren river loop road. Tall marri trees next to the river.

Lake Jasper is a beautiful spot. However it is a fair way back from the sea if you are their for the fishing. As already said the camp site along the Warren would be my pick. But if you are going for the fishing we used to drive along and spot the holes and gutters which looked the most fishy and set up camp on the beach.
I hope you have good compressors with your group to reinflate your tyres as it is a long drive to any service stations.

No, not going for the fishing.

A friend new to 4WD wants to check out the dunes, so we will take him down there.

I picked Lake jasper for 2 reasons.

    1. I want to check it out as a couple of years ago we camped at Black Point and took the WAPET track to Jasper Beach and then Lake Jasper, only to find it closed due to a wildfire.

    2. There are females in our party and although most of us do not mind bush camping, we are under instructions there must be toilets where we camp.

As for compressors, no probs we will have 4 between 3 vehicles. I always have 2 onboard. My back up compressor is the ARB one for the lockers.

Phil there are toilets at lake Jasper and some good sites. Lots of black sand.
Track in was boggish but a good drive.
Another campsite u should consider is at the beginning of the Yeagerup dunes right near Yeagerup Lake. There are brand new toilets there and dedicated camp spots as well as a big group camping area. We swam in the lake to cool off(walking distance). Fires were permitted in the fire Rings as well.
It is then a good 3/4 hr drive down to the beach. Last week the Warren river was running parralel to the coast from where you come out over the dunes. Calcup hill is down there for you to try as well. Calcup Hill is approx 5kms south of where you come out over the dunes.
Remember on the dunes to stay between the wooden posts if you go.
The camping area I am advising of above was Fantastic with lots of shade.
Its down the end of Ritter road (gravel)
Good luck with whatever you find as all the places down there are great.
