How far can these LR's go

    Hi 4um.

My '99 V8 Disco is purring along with 180K klm's on the clock.

With regular servicing, average driving, average off road use what total travel distance is to be expected before some kind of serious re-build to engine/gearbox or something else? What distance has your's travelled and with what major mechanical faults?

Is there a LR out there with 500+k on the clock?

    Just interested.

    1988 RRC with 450,000km

gearbox rebuild at 406,000km, but they had a weak box to start with.

    RRC 3.5 manual.

Odometer doesn't work, but it would have to have over 300 000km.

Engine and gearbox original, transfer case replaced because someone (not me!) broke it.

I had a 1972 Rangie that had 85000km on the clock (5 digits) and service notes for 200000km before that. I drove it another 100000 then swapped the engine for a newer one (because i had it lying about). The odo gave up the ghost after clocking it again. God knows how far it's gone. I saw it a while back (distinctive with no undented panels and no interior) still sailing along like the flying dutchman.
