did I not see a white D2 discovery converted to a dual cab? Did I see that on this forum? It was pretty impressive and something we used to talk about doing.
D3 dual cab would be great!
Hmmm, finally someone has found a permanent fix to the ugly ass of a D3.
What is it with all new 4wd these days, it seems the deseigners put all this effort into making the front look great and then the rear end just gets blobbed on the back...
Maybe Im just biased, rear ends should all be ute-i-fied.
That overhang aint too bad, the departure angle appears to follow the tow bar line. It would look even better without the big boxes on the tray... maybe a fuel drum, an outboard, a swag and a tinnie up top then up to lakefield for the weekend... not eating dust and aircon - luxury.

Oiiii my D3 has a beautiful bumHmmm, finally someone has found a permanent fix to the ugly ass of a D3.
Plus more user friendly at the back than a D2, doubles as a picnic table or somewhere to sit and have a cold one. As for the conversion, to me just looks sooooo wrong. I have seen some decent D2, but they have been single cabs and look pretty good. But the dual cab on this and other brands that I have seen ie Cruisers, just looks out of whack. But as they say, horses for courses. Id rather have a new 130 myself, now thats a good looking beast,

Stevo
Stevo i concur on both counts, your D3 looks acceptable with the spare out the back, and a new 130 would be sweet
RWV conversions have been doing dual cabs in Cairns for years, mostly cruisers and pootrols... They have become amazingly popular since the building boom. Youll often see a brand new $80k + Sahara getting a $10k cut and tray... lots of money in building crappy block houses with air con these days.
I wonder if the new 130 will cut into that market now it has a more goey engine and something that resembles air con and seats???? probably not.

I reckon a D3 styleside ute would look totally awesome - would take a bit of work to get the rear right though coz those taillights are awfully high .
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
