    Cooma - please explain

hey, happy Australia day et al.

I've noticed on the landrover60 website that there is some sort of registration required to participate or summat?

To be honest I don't follow the set out program - perhaps someone could explain? If you are not intending to attend any of the LROCV organised dinners etc, is there a cost involved for the privilege of turning up? Does this need to be organised prior to the event or are passes available on entry?

Why not email them, theres a link on the conact us part of the page...

If your jsut turning up to wander around I dont think not registering will be a problem but if you want to be involved in the official proceedings you need to be registered and it also (if you decide to purchase some) guarentees your merchandise.

there are many events organised within the 4 days.
the big dinner, the BBQ are optional extras, once you have registered, the other events are free. parade, motorkhana, trips, display day.
camping at polo flat is $15 a night for a site. it is private property and although the owner is not making much money out of the deal, things like ablution blocks have to be paid for.
if you choose to stay out of town and only attend the display day, you will have to pay $ per head as you come through the gate. you can't go in the grand parade.
so what you do is ou go through the booking form on the website and choose what you want from the 60th. if you get to the end to pay and you find that you are going to blow your budget, go back and go without a few things.
but to participate in the event you have to register

as you know, an event of this size takes a lot of organising. the organisers have only one sure way of knowing how many people to cater for. for food, not just the BBQ but also vendors so there is not 100m lines to get a cuppa, dunnies, accomodation etc and that is if people register.
if you are planning to go, just go ahead and register. if you just register for the event and not for camping, how hard is that?
you'll be helping to save a lot of pain for a lot of people, including yourself.
