    Dave,

It's obvious that you are not used to the road menace.
They firmly believe you should never let a tiny gutless car, or Land Rover get in front of you.
    Reason?
At the next hill you will slow down and be a nuisance

Found that out the first day I bought a 1977 Tojo Corolla for the kids to learn to drive in, back in 1996. People were going out of their way to get in front of me before the next hill!!!

I was completely taken by surprise!
This never happened when I drove the Jaguar, but the moment I got back in that Corolla.......

They don't do it to the Discovery.
Must be the V8i badge on the back little do they know how gutless it is

    sorry for the ACA editing

urmmm with the proton engery pill installed Big Red quite comfortabley goes up hills at over 110 which tends to upset bogans in old commodores who jump into the oncoming traffic lane when I fail to slow down on the climb.

I think it has more to do with the fact that Im living in ipswich...

And here's me thinking that people don't care or understand what and indicator light is for. Of course this also applies to park-lights, fog-lights and spot-lights.

    On another note...
I did find, driving my previous Disco through Melbourne -
NT plates, lifted, 32" muddies, bars front/rear, winch, antennas, loaded to the roof and so much mud and dust you could only see through the whiper marks on the windscreen, where I had cleaned the window to be able to use the mirrors and also I'd cleaned the lights front and rear
    - everyone else seemed to avoid us like the plague. You could feel the cars at the lights trying to move away from you. It was hilarious

I agree with dm Td5 as I have had the same experience in Melbourne when in my old Ser 3, bull bar, winch, and in need of a good wash and paint job I had no trouble with changing lanes, but I also used that thingy on the steering wheel. Even my sister who lives there, got frustrated with the traffic so she suggested that I just drive out the entrance road and "merge " with the traffic ...."They will get out of your way once they see you have NT plates". They did.

    G'day Folks

Yes, I agree with Blknight.aus, there are some doozies around and Caboolture/Bribie have a generous share of them, but my drab olive Military spec 2a gets reasonable curtsey or maybe it's the 4" steel vice bolted to the steel bumperettes that does it, I often get asked what the Vice is for I just reply "It keeps the Daewo's off the back"

    cheers

I think I need a new sign for the back of big red.... (and for the side for the side indicator lights)

Caution, when blinking this vehicle is GOING to move to this side. Driving along side this side of the vehicle will only slightly delay this procedure and will probably be bad for your paint+panel work.

Sad thing about all of this is if you did happen to insist that the other road users obey the traffic laws, (After all you are in a very Threaterning 4WD) and just pushed the moron off the road (where he belongs) all the do gooders will jump up and down and demand the removal of all 4WDs from the roads.

Some drop short runs amok with a gun...they take our guns off us , They are already agitating about 4WD's......I am just waiting for someone to run amok with a Knife and Fork... and see what they do.
