    Rovers wont let you down......

For those of you who pay enough attention you know that Big Red is having an intermittant problem with a wheel speed sensor so that TC+ABS come on on the dash letting me know I have a problem.

For those of you who dont pay attention

Big Red has intermittant problem with a wheel speed sensor so that TC+ABS come on on the dash letting me know I have a problem.

Today about 1 hour ago I got the call to come out to the civvy track behind the quarry, If i could, to snatch out a mates bogged toymota. "No worries, Im home not doing much and we couldnt get alex to sleep maybe the drive back will get him there. See ya in 20."

I get out the driveway close the gates get back in and Lo what light beyond the steering wheel breaks, Tis ABS/TC.... Great....

I get out there and the toymos in pretty good had to dig for the tow hitch and while were digging he notices Ive got a bit of a worried look on my face. He asks whats wrong and I tell him about the TC/ABS failure warning lights....He doesnt look pleased to hear it I tell him no sweat that just means its only as capable as a normal type 110 from work and he wont believe me.

so we get hooked up to pull him out and I climb back in and theres a strange empty nothingness glaring at me from the dash.......

5 pulls, some easy digging, a broken snatchstrap (his)and some hi-lifting later hes out and we're pulling the trees out from under his bodywork that hed used to try an self extract..

he comes over and looks in and sure enough there they glow TC/ABS...

To summise his comment" I know why you carry all that crap now (meaning shovel, pick, axe highlift, 2 chains, snatch strap......) but doing that without TC, I have got to get one of these"

Alex fell asleep before the first roundabout out of my place and still sleeps about 90 minutes later now.

Yep, my 130 doesn't either. But the 110 does - until I found the fuse! Problem solved. No more annoying light, well yep more lights actually. But not annoying when I know why.

But had to pull fuse - wasn't just the light coming on, was the brakes actually being applied to wheels that was the worry - on bitumen, straight and narrow! Must get around to looking at it one day.

In the meantime the 130 is still going, and the little korean (?) car gets me up and down the highway.
