and everyone thought it was pretty clever that a 3yr old could even say ornythorinchyus paradoxis let alone know what one was ( or wasn't it seems!!)
yep... was once... in the olden days

certainly sounded appropriate - being a "paradoxical" animal

changed to accommodate a taxonomic problem

I finish on the 8th of Feb and start on the 9th at Victoria | Walhalla | Mountain Rivers Lodge | Accomodation | BYO Horse | Horse Riding

Sorry for the shameless plugs, but I'll be needing the work
I'm trying to work out a discount for AULRO members to stay at Mountain Rivers Lodge.

What an experience for you - you are indeed very fortunate.

im 26 now, lived in Huon Valley in tasmania from around 9-13yo and i've seen a fewin the dams and creeks down there......

i find it a tragedy to see Australias wildlife die off, many times i've had to pull over on the road at night to move an echidna off the road before it got flattened..... you'd think they'd be a lil more appreciative!

wombats are a slightly different story, friend hit one in a WB statesman, totalled the lower stonetray and ended up parked on top of the wombat, jacked the statesman up, dragged the wombat out from under it, and before they could check it over it slowly waddled off......
