I have a bushranger (model Im not sure of and I cant be bothered going out and having a look at the moment so I will edit later ) which looks exactly the same as another members on here yet I can reinflate 4 of my tyres and 2 of his in the same time that it took him to inflate 2 of his with his one.

I wont say who it was but he would remember, we found that he was getting massive resistance in the fuse holder which when fixed was marginally quicker but not by that much.

I have also used mine to blow out a radiator, pump up pool toys and airbeds as well as the bike tyres as well as I have seated beads on the trailer tyres as well so Im really happy with it.

I also have a cheapy that is mounted in a plastic tool box which I keep in the Inlaws Jeep as I dont think I need a spare but it has had the crap worked out of it and still goes strong but is very very slow.

I only got the bushranger because when we bought the Waeco we got it and a GPS thrown in to the deal.

Its been a lot of years, but probably 10. Most often dirt destroyed the main bearing (at the bottom of the con-rod).

I was looking for reliability and to hell with the price, as I needed a way of pumping-up the occasional farm equipment tyre whilst away from 240v. I could have bought a generator instead but then wouldn't have had a decent portable unit to go 4WDing. I bought a spare filter holder at the same time to make sure I didn't have to run it with no filter if I broke the holder.

I live 5min from Stockton beach and my Max air gets used about 5 times a week, i've pumped up 6 vehicles in a row with it , i've reseated a bead with it and it's been doing that for nearly 3 yrs now(still 2 to go on the warrenty to).
Bushranger compressors ar a rebadged Viair compressor, they have stainless steel internal components and very high duty cycles(run time), the copies have plastic internals, nuff said.

I had to go and check what it was, cause I haven't looked at it in years. It's a Blue Tongue and the air filter has deteriorated at some stage and been sucked through, it still works perfectly, but I had better find another filter.

I sometimes also carry a D size nitrogen.

I've got an ARB Compressor , the old model, I bought it with the thought of lockers in mind, but I haven't installed the lockers yet , whilst they seem to do the job of pumping the tyres , they are nowhere near as good as Blue Tongue with regards to performance, so Agree with you guys 100%.

the poll doesnt have an option for quality......

that was the first thing i was looking for.......quality usually means reliability as well.......

ive got the bushranger max air pro......and it works well and quicker than most of the other compressors.......
i know this because on trips.....im one of the last to start inflating and am always finished somewhere in the middle of the group.......
that time usually also involves inflating a tyre or two on the vehicle parked next to me......

I have Boss Compressor hard wired and also plumbed up to a 12 Ltr steel tank.

I used stainless high pressure line which runs out to both sides of the vehicle under the wheel arch at the rear.

The pressure switch will turn on at 150 psi and switch off at 200 psi. This will inflate both front and one rear tyre before the pressure in the tank has equalized with the tyre. I can isolate the tank at this point and fill directly from the compressor.

drop into your local arb or accessory store and ask for a demo on your own car.......I've seen the bushranger's performance up against the arb hi performance.........and for the money I reckon the bushranger compressors are a winner.......the 5yr warranty compared to the arb 1yr warranty doesnt hurt either.........working at a 4wd store I would choose the bushranger over anything due to price/performance and warranty
