OMG my toe is going to explode !

Well stupid me after finding our staffy pup eating my daughters dinner off the table , as she went passed i swung my foot to give her a foot up the bum but missed and cracked the door frame straight with my big toe ! Must of used a bit more force than i thought and now i have gone and broken my big toe, its a nice shade of purple twice its normal size and a little bent .
Doc says approx. 6 weeks to heel and he told me off for driving across the rd, off to get it x rayed in case i chipped the bone or something.

    Sorry but I LOL.
Keep an eye on the bruising and an eye out for any infection. Best bet is to strap your toes to stop movement if possible. 4WD should still be possible, depends on your tolerance to pain.

Seen similar, we came home a few weeks ago to find the staffy on the table eating the kids left over cereal. And again before that to find her sitting on a chair at the table eating kids left overs.

It was meant as a move along type kick but the door jamb was closer - and the dog not the daughter.

Serves you right, if it was hard enough to break your toe it was hard enough to hurt the dog.

Dog was further away and door jamb was closer i would have just brushed her fur if it connected.

Probably the same result if you connected with the stafies head. Walked into mine other night in the dark has head like a concrete block. Stern no always the best bet staffies easily intimedated by voice much less success with force. They seem oblivious to pain but highly sensitive to noise.

Yep, as I work in a medical centre as part of my job, you see some very interesting pain thresh holds.
Where was the burn? On my finger! Where on your finger? Right there! Right Where? On my finger tip! Hang on! (grab magnifying glass) Oh its there (pin head size on finger).
Well we had better alert the burns unit, then!
