    Smart Draw

There is a program that can be down loaded from the net called smart draw its brilliant , very simple and easy to use and can be used for any type of project eg electrical, plumbing , land scaping, buildings, etc etc its uses are endless . Not sure what it costs a friend gave me a copy.

    Regards Hodgo

Will this mean a full re route for the exhaust system to clear the pass side rear quarter?
And what will be the price?
Its this tank that i'm coppying, and making a mirror image for the passenger side.

LAND ROVER DEFENDER AUXILIARY FUEL TANK - eBay. (end time 02-Feb-08 17:42:08 AEDST)

If you put a straight edge between your chassis rail and your sill, the gap above is where the tank goes, hence it does not affect your clearance. It goes from the front firewall/bulkhead outrigger to the rear trailing arm mount with a cut out for the outrigger in the middle.

The tanks that fit in the rear 1/4s are just a simple 6 sided box thanks to the flat sides on the defender, very simple to make.

only prob with the td5 is the high preassure pump in the tank. Although you could just get a cheap low preassure pump and pump it to the main tank first. Or get an external High preassure one but thats more $$ and stuffing around.

my plan is to cut the breather pipe and splice into it in 2 places.

Id then use a ticker pump to transfer fuel into the lower of the 2 splices and then have the higher of the 2 splices to allow air or excess fuel to return to the tank.

My actual plan for tankage gets me something like1 60ish l tank internal in the rear seats foot well bringing it up level with the tub floor, 2x 75l fuel tanks 1 on each side of the rover with long slender pipes slung where the side steps used to be as air tanks with a trianglular set of water tanks slung over the side steps to take about 40l of non potable water. (not forgetting the original 75l fuel tank)

over the rear end up behind the wheel will be small potable water tanks and depending on how much clearance I have on full spring compression on the rear these might extend the length of the side sponsons.
