I am fair dinkum about sharks Dobbo i have a genuine fear of them, I enrolled for a scuba course way back in my 20s, we did a few dives around Ulladulla and I was doing ok until we encountered a small Bronze whaler, only a small thing, and you thought jesus christ could walk on water, never been near it since, go on it ok but not in or under, the movie Mission of the Shark didnt help either, I really dont like them. And it was jaws that did it!.

I understand that our venomous snakes are classed as adders the "death adders" im talkin about like the sandy costal scrub along the beach here ive seen a few and stay away from them they are a funny lookin snake but are not worth getting close to ...
Also if you class a tipan or brown we get both of them here also as an adder with an inefficient method of striking id beg to differ they are preaty good at catching small prey as thats the main meal and i dont get close enough to them to find out how good they strike either ....
As for running over snakes only if its unavoidable :D:D:D
Yup, and the death adders won't just get out of your way when they hear you coming. They seem to sit and wait for you.
Maybe I should send you Deep Blue Sea to watch as well.:DLOL.
Have a friend that did similar, Ab diving of SA 20 odd years ago, was going about his business, not a sound, turned around and there was a great white shark just sitting there watching him about 1 1/2 metres away. Shark was 4m plus. Not aggressive, more inquisitive than anything. Turned around and swam away. Needless to say he has not dived again.;)
I don't run over or kill snakes despite not believing they leave you alone unless provoked.
I don't know if I am lucky or unlucky but I've survived being bitten by a Tiger and a Death Adder.
Tiger fair ripped the heck out of my sports shoe and soaked it in venom and I never saw it until it was trying to wrestle the Nike off!
The Death Adder soaked my calf where it struck and didn't get a good dose into me.
I won't say that I was feeling the best for a few days under observation but I survived.
I have been chased all over the scrub by King Browns and have a real dislike for the aggressive belligerent bastards, but I still don't kill them unless necessary.
I won't deliberately run over any animal (will make an exception for cats out in the bush).
But I won't swerve for them either.
Tend not to. I ended up unthe ground with a Brown when I Rolled my ATV wile trying to avoid running over him.:o::eek: Now I just hold my line.
