personally l think we should have more testing stops and we should expand to testing for drugs as well as alcohol
and
when you blow positive your car should be impounded immediately and your license should be stopped there and then and if you want it back you got to court and argue extenuating circumstances
and
you lose your car for length of license cancellation
and
if its not your car the company or owner can pay a fine to retrieve it
only way to stop the many many many clowns who continue to drink drive after license loss and may also deter the few who think they can get away with it and should stop otehrs from lending their cars to mates.

I got RBT'd a few weeks back... after having two glasses of red over dinner only an hour before. I felt like I had drunk nothing so wasn't concerned and I told the lady officer and she said well lets see what we get...... 0.0000 I at least expected it to show there was something in my system!
Always happy to see RBT when driving, whetever the time. I dont drink and drive and want every ***** that does off the road.
Sorry, got a bit emotional there.![]()
Yep, I don't condone drink driving, it just amazed me that they don't bother to test some people. I reckon a lot of people over the limit must get lucky like that. It proves though that its not all about revenue raising - because if it was run like a business, everyone would get pulled in and tested to maximise $$$.
They don't make a cent out of RBT, it must cost the Gov't a fortune.. You'd be unlucky (on average) to get more than $1000 fine for a High Range convictionOffset that against the cost and you're in the red bigtime.
Dunno why they didn't test you mate, maybe the alco broke - he could've been a bit more pleasant too.
If all the vehicles were being stopped and spoken to you would think you would be tested.
If random vehicles are being pulled over there is a good chance the officer may have spotted a vehicle that required more attention.
You would be amazed how many people get caught for drink driving still, so how many are out there not getting caught?
Cheers Andy.
PS: Police don't always have the manpower they would like.
