    Sandy Blight Junction Road

Am planning this years trip, according to info on various sites permits were not available for the NT side of the Sandy Blight Junction Rd.......I wasn't happy so I phoned the community there and was told all is now OK, permits are being issued, they want, and need, the tourism.

    Good news indeed

The trip will take us up the Great Central Rd to Lasseters Cave, backtrack to Docker River, up the SBJ Rd on to Gary Junction Rd, Tanami Rd and into Alice. Then down to Coober Pedy probably via Kings Canyon and Lasseter Hwy then if we have time to Ceduna via Googs track.

Timing will be around August/September so my preparation begins............

Great trip , we did it a few years ago some of the best desert country in Aust. Just up the turn off from the Giles rd there is a great waterhole/spring Maluguru about 30 clicks up from the junction. Also along the Giles Rd 9 ks from the junction there are Gordon Springs, these are under Gill Pinnacle. These are great spots.

Thanks for that information Oldyella, I've had a look at my OziExplorer, Natmap and dester tracks but can't locate those places, do you have any further hints as to how I can locate them?
    TIA
