Thread: Bad fuel

Yesterday we went in to Mackay, done business, then parked on the top parking deck and shopped for groceries.
Disco started, ran rough and stopped.
Turns out to be contaminated fuel. Had to put it on the back of an RACQ
truck and bring it home, I looked the other way when I spotted cruisers and patrols approaching. I have to drain the tank etc. To much water
init for metho to be effective. Damn !
The truck driver told me that cars were stopping all over the place with
water in the fuel. BP and Shell worst affected.
He had already recovered five vehicles before he got to me.

After the big recent flood, five thousand vehicles were innundated and written off. They are being stockpiled all over the place, where they can find room. Dunno if there are any Landies amongst them.

Four thousand homes were innundated or submerged.
Big mess.
I am bringing me old Fairlane, parked at the Airport, home next week,
not sure about the extent of the damage.
