G'day All
T'other day I woz springing into the drivers seat of Princess Fiona to head off to work and had got myself settled when I had a strange sensation in my hair at the back of my head.
Remembering the ol AAMI add where the bloke driving his Celica finds a Trantula behind the sun visorI very gingerly put my hand over the back of my head to find the bloody roof lining has collapsed.
Seems that the Tropical heat up in this part of the world has heated the vynal lining and it shrunk pulling away from the molded stuff that forms the roof lining.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? Do upholsters do this work? I've never had to fix a roof lining b4.
Suggestions please.

I had my falcon lining redone in TV Land about 12 months ago when I was up there I still have the receipt and invoice I thought he was reasonable in price ( about $ 180 I think he charged) and he did a bloody good job and it only took him a few hours I will dig it out and post the details if you like.

I completely redone my roof lining , it started delaminating like you described , I took the old foam roof lining off, ripped out the delaminated fabric / carpet or what ever you wanna call it , fibre glassed the roof side of the lining ... but lightly , if fibre glassed too much it will get heavy , 1 layer of fibre glass did the job , all fibre glass obtained from FGI ( fibre glass international ) one done ..and drove to clarks rubber and bought some motor trim advesive sparay in cans , you might need 2-3 cans etc , sprayed both the carpet and the passenger side of the lining and started from one end and worked the carpet onto the lining towards the other end, i'm very happy with the result. I can send pics , easy job but time consuming and it was done properly.
