    Cape to Cape Land Rover

Wow - what an audacious group
    Cape to Cape Expedition

They've got a tracked LR and an amphibious 110 than has even crossed the Irish Sea!

Looks like quite an adventure, especially the sea crossing.

The floats look a little cumbersome. I reckon someone should make inflatable rock sliders

These guys finally left Russia on 7th July (after waiting two months for the ice to thaw) but only got half way across the Bering Straight en route for Alaska before the elements beat them and they had to stop on the tiny island of Diomede. After ten days waiting for the seas to abate, they are still there............still waiting.

I just hope they get some favourable conditions soon as I'll be in Anchorage and Fairbanks soon and would like to meet and interview them.
It would make a good trip report for the club newsletter.

See pics below for the crossing so far.

    Nice pics Roger.

Wouldn't they love having to change a wheel in the middle of the Strait!

Is it just me or are there easier ways to try and top yourself?

Sub zero seas in a Defender, a vehicle notorious for it's cieve like panel fitment, looks like a standard snorkel too, hope they don't get any large waves.

I wouldn't do it, be easier to drive through a lake of molten lava.

From what I've seen of their website, this is a very well planned Tuff Trip.
They have special survival clothing, self heating meals, safety boat tagging them etc etc.

Nice to see some still have the adventurous spirit - and the wherewithall to execute it.

Hey Ben, you were quite taken by Morgans girlfriend, weren't you.
She bears a remarkable resemblance .
