if I had your money to burn and was simply looking at a tourer D3 if it where a tourer and rock work D2 hard core would be a fender with the right body armer D2 is as good as fender I reckon if I didnt like my comfort id go fender IMO![]()
If one was to upgrade ones (one owner) 97 Tdi Disco, would you go for a 2003/2004 D2, or scrape the extra dollars for a 2005 D3. It has to be diesel. The car will be used as a daily driver, as well as taking the family (2 kids 4 & 6 and my better half) camping as often as possible towing the camper trailer, using it for what it was made for. Or does one bite the bullet and go for the new defender? All comes down to the bl...y money.....Interested in your thoughts.

Test drive them all with your kids in the back seat. See how much growing they have to do to grow out of the rear seats of the Defender.
I would say the fender but as you can have booster seats on either side as the capsule mounts arent required. Also a new fender will still be cheaper than a 3 yo TDV6 D3.
