    question for electronic tech guru's

Just got a wireless reverse camera, I need to lenthen the wires between the camera and the transmiter. Is this going to affect the operation of the camera/transmitter. Things like do you think they would be resistant depenant, ie a set lenth of wires. There is 3 wires with no shielding, fine wires as you would find on the back of a speaker.
    cheers

urm if its a wireless camera,,, Why has it got wires?

    ok seriously

the wire that you have is probabley just 3 core singal wire like whats used in really expensive headphones and can be had from jaycar at about $2 a meter and less. extending the wiring the short distace you might need to shouldnt be a problem if your good with the connections.

It can be done, I used an old transucer cable (cause thats what I had that was the same size), soldered up all my joints, then tested and all was sweet. Sealed all my joints and retested, still sweet. Mounted the camera and run the cable through the bottom plug on a disco to rear lights, not a tight fit but must have been to tight as it no longer works. The transmitter which is about 450mm from the camera is only cover in heatshrink, well the 2 parts of this transmitter are only about 0.5 mm apart and I think while poking them through the hole it has bent the 2 parts so they contacted and when I fired it last time it cooked its butt. Yes there still needs to be some wires even with so called wireless, The signal from transmitter is sent to the camera via 2.4 ghz signal (thats the wireless part). Thanks any way
    cheers
