I'd wait until after the baby is born. Just a recommendation from my experience, some of us don't make the wisest decisions just before a birth.

Hence is my 2nd dilemna, with SMBO plus myself and 4 children between us, the XR6 doesnt cut the mustard if we all have to head to the hospital together in case we can't get one of our backups in place, assuming we have all 4 at the same time. All fun and games ,

If you are happy with the vehicle the biggest issue when buying from outside qld is the roadworthy. A NSW inspection counts for nothing when you bring it in to qld no matter how recently it was done. If it is a newish vehicle that will pass easyily no worries, but if it is older vehicle like a county you need to add the cost of getting a roadworthy on to the cost of it so it needs to be an extra good price. If you can't get some one to look at who knows about that type of vehicle, sellers with digital cameras that are willing to take pictures of things for you are the best to deal with. No sustitute for driving it but a lot better than the seller just saying its all good. Plus if they don't want to take the picture perhaps it isn't all above board.

Have you asked the dealer if he can arrange delivery? I'm in Melbourne and bought the 130 from Qld, we negotiated a price on the phone on the proviso that I was happy with the car on inspection, then when I got there I acted a bit disappointed and negotiated delivery included for the same price.

one of those things I guess....I have bought 3 RR's interstate - two without inspection.

My current classic I bought from Melb, got a non LR but mechanically minded mate to drive it and take a heap of digital photos and email me, then I found out the car recently was owned by a land rover independent specialist guy, so I spoke to him about it, I got on the bus ($35 was cheapest option) over to Melb, got the tram to the guys house, then test drove it - found a heap of niggles, paid, drove it home.

2 days and 1400 k's later the transfer case went, and front hub assembly went, and a heap of electrics decided to fail.

Luck of the draw is all I can say.

But its a soft dash classic in Montpelier still with eas, and I have only ever seen this combo up for sale once in the past, and it no longer had eas, so interstate can be your only choice if your after something.

Im looking at 03-04 D2's, 7 Seats, preferably TD5, seems quite a few in NSW and VIC, hence doing some research first and advice to find out pro's/ con's etc. I know some dealers ship their vehicles and Disco300TDI will keep that in mind ,
