    the failed bearing probably took out the seal.

    can you post a pic of the stub axle so we can see if there is any damage to worry about on the seal diameter? make sure you look at the underside of the stub axle too.

    If the wheel bearings had enough clearance to do that and it was on the front, i suspect that your steering would have been pretty vague. You'll like what new bearings do for the handling.

    If the failure is a normal end of life problem (not loose wheel nuts, no lube on assembly or just a lot of load) then I'd be looking at the other bearings too, especially the one on the same axle as this.

    i have extractors and a 2 &1/2 in exhaust why??

    Its just that a bearing like that would be making one hell of a racket.
