I also believe that if u r the reversing vehicle, it should be the driving vehicle that should pull off the track at the first opp.Its much easier that way, there vision willbe far better than your`se.
    Cheers Dean.

One of my pet IRKS, bloody annoying they couldn't remove the whole log or tree of the track like we do, only a little extra effort.

And yes, my absolute number one pet hate is rubbish. Besides that sickly disgusted feeling I get just looking at it, always astounded at how badly some low-lifes treat our country, it just encourages councils and the like to barricade bushland off limits.

I hate using logs to get myself out (alas I am winchless) but if I'm really stuck and I have to then I'll use the biggest heaviest mofo's I can carry or drag.

I cleared the log from the track, and as soon as it was clear enough for him to get through he tore through and clipped my mirror.

Next time I will clear a space JUST wide enough for the Defender to pass

Had to squeeze through one in the Vic high country a few years ago that the Defender only just fitted through (must have been cut by a Suzi driver). I can remember thinking at the time that a couple of metres of tree when its 1.5 m diam would be a fair old chunk of timber to cut through and move, I reckon you would be doing just the bare minimum to get through.

If you are moving that amount of timber, you need to drag it with a chain, (like I did) the extra weight of a couple of feet would not make much of a difference.

On littering, years ago a hairy bloke hurled his ciggy packet and a wrapper out the window of his stationary vehicle as I walked past. I gave him a mouthful, along the vein of that being a ****ty way to treat a beautiful country that gives you life.
He looked stunned, looked at the rubbish, and said in surprise
"Aw ****, mate, you're right!" He got out and picked up all he could see.
It was moving.....moreso because he was the size of a Korean car himself.
