As Disco Dan mentioned, the MT/R's are waaaaay overpriced, great tyres as a all-rounder (do pretty much all sorts of 4WD terrain) but the maxxis Bighorns are very similar to the MT/R's without the price tag (and better in mud too).

I priced a set of 265/75R16 Maxxis Bighorns for about $245 a tyre recently from one of the major retailers.

I'll probably be looking at a set for my next Rangie and the maxxis tyres seem to be good value for money. I love my Silverstones although not overly road friendly, but will be slightly downsizing as I am not going to cut away the guards on the next beast (I cried when I did it on the current one, just feel awful when I do it )

    Trav
