Is it 'getting older' or 'developing taste'?

C'mon, what will you fess up to....I have noticed remarkable changes on this journey called life regarding music in particular.
Lately they have been quite stunning on a personal level.
I resisted Michael Buble thinking he would be a talentless imitator and bought the C.D at 65% off the other day, and he impressed the ---- out of me.
Also, another risky admission, I always felt repelled by Kenny Rogers.
    I hated him.
    I hated ALL C&W.
Lately, I listened carefully to Kenny and decided he was one talented Mo Fo.
I also liked a few Johhny Cash tunes.
I know I had good taste when I was younger, so am I losing it or is this getting old gig a development of the senses....in some aspects?

I think it's just a function of learning to appreciate, mellowing out and the simple fact that most modern music is absolute garbage (IMO)

Hmmm dunno, I still listen to the same type of music that I did when I was younger. JJJ is always on the radio, CD's mainly alternative or heavy/ hard rock..........and the kids love it. Always been a big fan of KISS and Gun's and Roses so they get a bit of play in the CD player in the car. Can't say I have changed my taste in music...or TV...or Movies...or food or beer . Just look a bit worser for wear

    Regards

    Stevo

My music appreciation is growing broader but i draw the line at C&W although i dont mind the oldies like Johnny Cash/ Merl Haggered etc, otherwise i'm listening to more indy than i did when i was 20 years younger.

I have always listened to a variety of music. But every now and then - its the classics... Shadows, Charlie Pride, Angels, Charlie Pride, Jim Reeves, Charlie Pride, Marty Robbins for starters.

When I come into the 'current time' - its more like Chris LeDoux, Dwight Yoakam and Alan Jackson.

But then I do get caught listening to INXS, Guns and Roses, Chisel etc.

Dont know about maturing in taste, just like what I like

JJJ is always on, until the wife gets in. She shoved a country music casset in to the player and it got stuck!! Haven't got it out yet, chewed up pretty bad.

Triple J is as commercialised as the rest, real "muso" types listen to RRR

I used to listen to Gold 104.3, now its Vega 91.5

Yep, gone to a bit of effort to get it here in the sticks

I think that most people will listen to anything as long as it is catchy and has a good beat to it .
Myself i have a very wide range of music from Limp Bizkit to techno to country and a few rodney rudes cd's in there as well .
