Seems ok but I will still get mine from a shop just for the warrenty just compare the motor and ratio to some of the bigger models.

Just one thing if you plan on winching yourself down hills the drum will get hot and eventually the rope will need to be replaced due to the heat

I would be trying to verify that this particular winch will fit the bullbar. As I understand it the Warn 10-12000 or something goes into the ARB bullbar mount to fit, where the XD9000 goes in cleanly. This one may not be the same as the warn for its measurements and positions

    Which Winch?

I have a 9500lb winch from Aldi! Was on special for $499. Considering that I only want if for the occasional pulling of logs from tracks, and I pulled the back of my house down (during a renovation). It is good insurance to have one. It came with a 3 year warranty (new for old replacement). It did well on my Cape York trip, as extra insurance for some steep climbs, and deep water. Has been flawless so far, and is almost a year old. I think it is the same a the "Terrain tamer" one.
    Cheers,

    Ken
