had plenty of lookers ...
land rover content was low, no argument, but the skill level to get where it was would have been pretty high.
as an aside, way to many of these posts of late ron..
like my daddy used to say, you dont have anything nice to say, dont bother, please.

There is a picture of it in Bushie's (i think) gallery of pictures from cooma. He reckoned it was one of 8 made for some mining company in townsville. How true that is i don't know.

Okay, I'm surprised, not alarmed!
Given the attacks I get, I'm out numbered.
Incisor,
If you really think I'm a forum pest, cancel my ongoing subscription and I'll happily leave.
I can certainly live without the bad vibes.
I'll also leave my posts on matters that I have experience on, alone.
Sorry, I wasn't driving anything and was camped at home over here in WA. In other words, I didn't make it!!!What were you driving and where were you camped

Landy or not I liked it, looked like a very capable machine. The owner just rocked up as we had lit the fires, asked if he could join us as we had the best fire available and the rest is history. From the look of the truck and the condition of the badges at a guess they were newish. Interesting vehicle and character all the same.
The whole scenerio was slightly remenisant of one of the early scenes in a classic horror movie.
He is an aquaintance of my fathers and is quite well known to the older generation of members of the Toyota land cruiser club of sydney. He is quite a character. His cruiser is an assortment of parts. He put it together himself, the "mining" thing is what he tells official type people so they don't look too closely.

Surely somebody has a pic of his steed!!!!
Sounds like a character, come on pics please!!!
