My Disco is supposed to be kerb weight ( driver, fuel and standard equipment) of 2055kg - but a winch, front and rear bars, tools etc pushes that up a bit.
A 2 Door V8 Disco comes in at 1980kg. 4 Door models add 45kg.
Just something i have been wondering about, how different model landrovers compare as far how much they weigh. For example how heavy is a 80' series 1 or a 2 door rangie. I have a few ideas floating around in my head and lightness is the key. So if you know how heavy your empty landrover is let me know.
Just to start off, my 120' ute with isuzu weighs 2300kg, I've really got to make the tray lighter. All that includes is jack, axle and shovel and a bit of fuel.
Cheers
WR.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
There is apparently - 75 kg.
It was a slip of the shift key. Top gear haven't done a stretched version yet.sorry I don't have the specs for an 80 foot wheelbase Series 1
Thanks for those weights. I didn't realise Series 1 were so light. Interesting.

94 Defender - 2200kg at the moment. Bullbar etc fitted - just recovery gear and running around town stuff in it. Approx 1/2 tank of fuel, 1 adult in it at the time.
This weight was by the weigh bridge at the Wagga tip which checks weight on way in and out. Above reading was on the way out!!!
Thats a 300kg difference! Surely a hard top and diesel wouldn't weigh 300kg more?Quote:
