    NRMA Approved LR repairers.

Now, I know someone is going to ask why I need to find a NRMA appoved Landrover repairer in Sydney so, before you ask, I wasn't driving, not even in the vehicle!

That should give an idea of how much I can safely say.

Anyway, does anyone know of a good Landrover approved NRMA repairer?

    Hi Damo,
I hope the damage isn't too bad .

Give Caldwells at Condell Park a call, just around the corner from you . They're an authorised LR repairer but I'm not too sure on the NRMA side of things.

    Hi Scott,
Do you know this privately, or am I missing some available forum info?

    Best Wishes,
Yes, I do know where Damo lives - are you after some cheap Disco or RR parts?
Or are you after someone who can repair D3 lower tailgates?

Did you get the original motor going or do the long awaited transplant?

I felt pretty helpless watching you, but I know there's nothing worse than having a ton of people trying to help at once.

The original motor is dead. #8 conrod broke & tried going up into #7. The conrod split #7 liner .
I didn't do the long awaited Tdi transplant, I just used the motor out of my spare RR (3.9 high comp) .

Caldwells were one of the ones recommended to me by the NRMA assessment centre when I needed some work on the defender. Ended up going to someone more local who did a good job (But defenders 'are' like a meccano set)

    Hi Scott,
I can't keep secrets with you around, can I.

I would love to hear of someone who can repair D3 lower tailgates. (Damn snatchum strap)

    Best Wishes,

PS: Do you know if the skin is replaceable, or will I have to buy a whole lower tailgate?

He he, I guessed it might have been a strap when I heard you'd been on Stockton Beach .

Can't you say it's hail damage & get it done under insurance?
