'tip' cheap hotdogs at the footy

went to the lions v pies game last night with four 8yo's and another dad

i didn't dare check the price of hotdogs that they sell at the ground but i'm guessing $5+ ea

anyway this is what we do for every game we go to......a least one family sitting close by always comments on what a great idea so i though i would share

i grab the thermos out and fill with hot water to preheat
megs got 8 sav's from the local shop for $1.50 on special along with some hotdog roll
heat the sav's up on the stove and put them in the thermos along with the boiling water. 8 fits just good
butter the rolls, add sauce and cheese
at the game drain the water and instant hotdogs

the kids don't know the differance and this frees up a few $$$ for beers at $5.70 a pop

eight hotdogs done this way would cost less the two hotdogs at the venue

been doing that kind of thing for years at the footy

the local footy i take burgers/snaggs and tea and coffee as well
cook them up on my little single gas burner in the back seat of my fender

4 kids gets expensive to buy for

is the aulro round three footy match still happening?

either way i will be in melbourne cbd twiddling my thumbs on sat night..............nope won't be able to twiddle with one of these in my hand

or maybe a couple
