I was planning to ship to Brisbane, I have been told that it will take about 30 days from Calcutta. (in which I will fly back to the UK for Christmas.) So the general consensus is that, given the time limits and the time of year, to avoid the far north and centre and to focus the trip around east coast, I would like to get into the dessert for a bit but maybe keep it short because of the heat?
Any specific routes or trails we should definitely do?

Ian, thanks very much for the offer of food and shelter, it is appreciated but I don’t think we will have the time to do western Australia this time. I will definitely get that way in the future though!
