    Ok girls and guys

I was out in ho har's deefer today and I actually had a disco 1 catch up to me on the gateway so they could wave at me then happily sat behind me. The disco was loaded up with recovery equipment and had a heavy duty camper so obviously they used it for it's intended purposes.

I try to always wave to any series or defender, with about 2/3rds reply => nearly 100% in the bush. I don't bother with disco's or rangies unless they have a snorkel or wave first.

    (I must be a snob)

Sounds like an interesting experiment, I reckon about 5%. On a good trip, you'd be really pushing 10%. Look forward to the results!

"Defender or Series" to "Defender/Series" around Melbourne and country VIC. - I reckon pretty much 100% wave rate if they spot you. On the other hand - "Defender or Series" to "any other LR including disco" - very low %. Defender to RR or Disco 3 - forget it, they are too busy enjoy the comfort... aircon, heating, seats etc.

My point exactly (and by you: much better enunciated (that word is for Ron))....that's why I will have spotters and as all three of them need LR identification training and two of those are feckless youths the "are we there yet" plea might be abated.

Can you keep a tally of the number you see in the mirror run off the road and fall over????

    BECAUSE A RANGE ROVER WAVED
Very few Discos or Rangies wave back to me.Most Series/ Defenders do.
My D2 does look alot more imposing than the standard shopping trolley/taxi

Maybe we should have signs across the top of the windscreen "I WAVE AT LAND-ROVERS' or for the closet wavers just the letters "IW@LR"

Maybe that could be the next AULRO windscreen sticker!

Good luck, but I'm sure it won't be over 25%

    Where were you?

I waved at a Discovery the other day - they had an AULRO sticker. Got a very surprised look back.

I'm new to the LR world and my fiance tried a wave at a couple of fellow disco drivers....only to get that look....who da what!?

I don't think that people in cars get it.....bike riders do it all the time. ...not usually the harleys, but most other riders would 'give the nod' and sometimes even wave of the hand.

    look forward to the results...

    Have a great trip anyhow.
