In the 1960s and 1970s the Land Rover wave was alive and well (except for workers driving government owned Landies) then along came those stupid "hey Charger" ads for the Valiant car and the L-R wave went into decline.

It has still survived till now but I rather feel it will never be alive and well like "in olden days".

P.S. Don't you hate tales of nostalgia???

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Let's all have a concerted campaign to make RR Sport drivers wave. These people have got to learn the responsibilities of owning a Land Rover.

Totally agree ..damn Range Rover drivers..no respect for tradition

It's such a fuss to lift your hand up to wave ..when your all relaxed and floating along on your air suspension and comfortable electric reclining seat !..listening to the opera coming from the harmon kardon system..

oh yeah..I'm one of them snobby RR drivers !..I'll get one of my passengers to wave for me when I see one of you lot on the road !

    cheers and sincerity,
    Richard

I only wave to series/Defenders usually. Although if I see a RR or Disco thats obviously modded I'll give a wave. Sometimes get one back.

Seems to be alot of first time Land Rover owners around of late. Disco's and Rangies getting so cheap, they're popular with the hardcore scene. They do 'em up and use them, but they dont care for the brand or it's heritage etc. So they give a blank stare when you give 'em a wave 'cause they dont have a clue what it's about.
    Cheers

    Are you a plumber?

The only thing that over flowed in that garage was the oil from the rear main seal on the disco

That’s Range Rover SPORTS driver, not Range Rover drivers.

On long trips, i’ve waved till my hand got cramps and very rarely get a wave.

Get a lot of “who the F@@@ are you” looks but that’s about it.
