Had to have my Dog put down

Bloody hard to do, had him 10 years, still got his mother who is 15 yo.
He wasnt the dog that come every where with you but was always there. Never been near a vet in his life untill today. Never suffered but had a fast growing tumour under his jaw that seemed to be causing him some discomfort for the first time today.
So there tou go, I have had a **** of a day.
    cheers

Jeez, sorry to hear that Blaze.

We know how you feel having had our lab of 13 years put down last year. Both Elisabeth and I were very, very teary at the time.

No, bugger it, I'll admit I cried a little. We stayed with him while the vet did the deed. It's bloody hard.

    All the very best,

    Ron

Sorry to hear that mate... Dogs are better mates than people and it's always a sad day when you have to say goodbye to a furry mate.

yes, tough thing to do all right. The dog was as ugly as sin, about 2 foot long and legs about 6 inches long with paws the size of labrador. We kept him because he was so ugly we new that the only way he was garenteed a good home is if we kept him
    cheers

The vet had more compassion than a human Dr I think

Mate sorry to hear, I had to have a beautiful shepherd bitch put down many years ago, she was only 2 at the time, got a grass seed in her blood stream which took out her legs and spine...very rare. Had to tell the kids she went to a farm. Last year lost 2 shepherds one to a car accident at 8 yrs old and the other at 9 mths old at Xmas to a snake bite and tick. We have pics of them on the fridge and their collars are on a shepherd statue...they are family , and when you lose them it is horrible.

    Regards

    Stevo
