Black Duck Valley on the news ch9

Black Duck Valley was just on the ch9 news.

About the couple of deaths over the years. Hopefully it doesn't have any negative effects to the parks.

The brother of one of the dead people said that they took responsibility for their own actions and not trying to blame anyone else. Not something you hear often these days.

I know the people that run Black Duck and they seem like nice honest people. They **really** don't make a fortune but they do run a family business.

Inquest opens into Black Duck Valley 4WD park deaths

THE Queensland coroner has opened an inquest into the deaths of three people killed in two years at a popular four-wheel drive park west of Brisbane.
Coroner Michael Barnes ordered the inquest, which started today in Brisbane, following concerns about the number of accidents at the Black Duck Valley park, near Gatton in the Lockyer Valley.
Three men have died at the park in just over two years, and a number of other people have been seriously injured.
In January last year, 23-year-old Ricky Blinco was killed when his four-wheel drive went over a cliff on a steep track.
Two years earlier, Steven Desmond Binns, 28, died while riding a quad bike at the park, and in June that year Michael Wayne Last, 34, was killed in a motorbike accident there.
The inquest will determine whether any safety issues associated with the park may have contributed to the deaths. The inquest is expected to run for several days.
The inquest comes just days after two crashes at the popular venue.
A 38-year-old man from Forest Lake, south of Brisbane, was transported to hospital by helicopter after suffering head, chest and abdominal injuries when he attempted a jump on his motocross bike on Saturday.
And a 12-year-old boy fractured his arm and sustained head injuries in a motorcycle accident there on Friday.

I don't think any of the 4wd parks make much money from it. All the ones I know of it is a side business and they have another one or work elsewhere to pay the bills.

Was on channel 10 as well.

There is some sort of inquest to the deaths and to see who is responsible.

As i understood it they were looking at the Bikes and the lack of training or supervision that the park provides before they let them onto extreme runs or difficult jumps etc.

    cheers

Looking at the story there at least its not just 4wd's... it was quad and motorbike deaths as well so can't fuel the anti4wd lobby as easy
