What is the difference between the Lightforce 240 Blitz and the XGT?

They both seem to have similar features, the XGT is a different shape but is there anything that really makes it worth the extra $$?

Don't know much about the Blitz, but the XGT's arehalogens in the same shell as the HID lights they sell. I personally think the XGT mounts look stronger than the Blitz ones

IF you were buying them I'd suggest looking at the Ironman HID lights. I got them after researching the lightforce and you can get them for about $800 bucks, they look the same and come in at more then a 60% saving compred to lightforce HID's and i think they are cheaper then Xenon Lightforce also.

I wanted the L.F. because they have a lot of hype around them and they are a good light but no match to ironman when price difference is considered.

    Thanks guys,

can't really justify the $$ for HID.

The 240 Blitz are about $400 a pair but there are some XGTs going on Fleabay for slightly more.

I was going to buy mine from ebay too, at about $430-450 mark. Add to that postage (2 separate boxes) and you'll probably be looking at closer to $470.

I went to ARB in Coffs Harbour and purchased them off the shelf for $480

Spent another $20 on theft resistant nuts and I reckon I did pretty well. Very happy with them. One day I'll look at converting them to HID, but at the moment I'm rather pleased with their performance. Nothing else I've ever had on cars would come close to them for strength and output.

Buy a set of XGT's at the best price you can get them for, then throw in an aftermarket Chinese HID kit. Gives you exactly the same result as the LF HID's for a fraction of the cost. I have a set of Hella Rally 4000's with a Chinese kit in them and I can't tell the difference in performance between them and the genuine Hella Predator HID's that I have on the Disco.
    Cheers .........

Don't know what these are like but I am thinking of getting some instead of the LF.

The only difference b/w the blitz and the XGT is the casing.

I seccond that, actually the aftermarket chinese ones are better as they are up to 55w for as little as $200 the pair now. LF factory hids are still only 35W.

XGT s have a H3 globe, blitz have a bi pin (cost more and not as common)

    I thought L.F. were bring out 50w HID's now?

I have 35's and I see no reason going over that. It is like the second coming just running those so anything over would be amazing.

Umm, no they don't. XGT's are bi pin too. You can buy them pretty cheap at bunnings etc. Quite a common globe if you look.
