no ,, just early D2's. The keys run on the same frequency as several common devices,, AMCAL just seems to be a common one,, they changed key frequencies in the later models.

you need a SMALL flat blade screwdriver,,
and just gently lever off the back at the ring end.

Hi Glen,
Sorry to hear that.
Stories like those make me thankful that I have an old common D1
Cheers
Thanks Pedro,
all done and dusted, I know don't have to stand next to the car for 10mins trying to lock it!
Ray,
I did mine a while back now,, threw the old (still working) ones in the car as spares,,![]()

I'm still not 100% sure it was the battery, I feel the little sprung contact doohickey inside the key fob may have lost its tension, hence the piece of cardboard 'packing' thats in place now.
They tell me that if the battery is out of the key for more than 30 seconds the thing chucks a wobbly and loses its memory. Similar thing is happening to me but it took 64 years!
As for the 'Amcal' and 'UHF repeater station thing', I have heard that apparently the NRMA has a tow truck permanently on standby on Black Mountain in Canberra to move vehicles away from the UHF repeater tower so their immobilisers can work again, and this affects all makes, not just Rovers. Thank the Lord there werent immobilisers around when I used to go parking at Mt Gravatt!
Regards
Glen
