    I see the report says:

"The man was thrown from the vehicle in the accident."

Without commenting on this incident, there are still some people who foolishly think they can't 4WD properly wearing a seatbelt.

Similar thoughts. What a waste... where was his seatbelt.

I dont wear my seat belt when traveling at slow speeds 4wding but as soon as I get up to a constant speed 40 to 60kmh I refit.

I dont wear it so I can actually move around and not get forced back into my seat.

I have also been in a roll over where the seat belt caused more damage than than the rest of the accident and undoing a seat belt while up side down isnt fun.

Wasn't the death at a Qld 4WD park a few weeks ago, where the 4WD rolled down an embankment during recovery, also thought to be partly attributable to lack of seatbelt (the driver came out the sunroof)?

thats a little old school these days......i thought the same years ago but think a lot differant these days

this is also confirm by any of the driver training i have attended

4wd clubs that i have been involved with pretty much insist on seatbelts.....there are the odd time when getting back into your rig andit s impossible to put the seat belt on

getting crushed while half out the window as the roof uses you as padding probably isn't fun either, i know which i would prefer if unlucky enough to be upturned.
and i might also add - on the side of a hill the vehicle usually rolls several times - you won't be able to hang on, and stay in your seat.
