Good luck with your trip, and if you reach the Brisbane area, there are quite a number who would be prepared to share a beer or three.
Cheers
The whinging POM has landed and got his 110 through the first hurdle. (i.e. passed your quarentine service) They steamed cleaned it just to be on the safe side.
Well a few miles from the port the wiring on the electric fan started to get rather hot! Possible suspect is water in plugs from steam cleaning???? Who knows? Luckily only had a few miles to go to my bothers place. Aussie sparky has fitted a new one so the spare viscous fan is now back where it belongs.
Had to use one of the AFFF extinguishers I carry (MSA recommended in UK) and have replaced it with a dry powder one (RTA recommended)
Aussie customs went into every box etc in the 110!
Now ready to head out to Broken Hill tomorrow. If you see a red 110 on UK plates give me a wave. If you are attending the Outback challenge come over and say hi and have a beer with me.
Regards
Brendan

G'day Brendon,
you and me are like the aulro student exchange. I arived in the UK about 2-3 weeks ago to work here Winchester. Wales is beaut, but very cold. I was up there caving and climbing. The weather is warming up now.
Sadly I could not bring my 130but she is being looked after by my sister. So for that I am jeoulos.
Enjoy and have fun, Easo
Not necessarily, it was cracking the flags (good Yorkshire expression) in Driffield at the Landy show at the weekend, I spent most of the time dodging from one bit of shade on the stand to another.
And it is pretty certain we will be up in the Brisbane area when I get out in the summer hols (or should I say winter)I arrive mid July to keep him on his toes, well fed and amused
So the offer ofwill be taken up.

Hiya Brendan,
Glad everything got in OK.
When I landed my 110, customs weren't interested and after a quick look in a couple of boxes, the quarantine guys waved the truck straight through.
Sounds like you got them on an off day...
Enjoy your trip.

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.
