So you know of the Homo Hippo,
They hang large incandecent hoop ear rings from its mirrors during the parade.
I admit they have been given a bad rap though, but don't worry, like the Rav 4 the popularity of this model is ensured by the Freelanders ability to park in tight spaces, it's good all around vision for tight reverse parks and a very robust rear bumper for all of them inner city shunt like manoevours. It is let down buy it's tendency to "blow Heads" and require regular headjobs to keep the K series happy. It is however very capable in a sloppy back paddock with a decent set of Mud Terrains fitted.
seems like a 'put down a mate in a landy' thread.
i wave to all landys, 'cept ones that are obviously not going to return the courtesy.
like sport, rr top of the range jobbies and the like.
i get a few back too.
it's interesting how persistance pays too, i see some most morning and night, interesting to see how some finally return the gesture, and some now get the wave in first.
I drive a Disco and I wave to all of Sollihulls products as a matter of courtesy.
Rangie and Freelander drivers tend to give me a blank stare, Deefer drivers sometimes wave, Series drivers always wave.
The fact that my Disco looks like it gets used off road induces waves the most I reakon.
Yes I wave lots from my "girlie" D2, at all sorts, but rarely if ever get anything back. I know its not a rock crawler but it aint stock either...
Still, the the same with the Heep...TJ Wrangler drivers nearly always wave but the new JK Wranglers...few and far between...ah well.
