    Help ID this...

My grandfather had one of these at his beach house and threw it out on account of supersecession. I'm quite keen to find an another, I have asked in all the right places what model it is but no one seems to know. The burners are standard Primus, but the unit might be made by Companion. Does anyone know anything about it?

we had one similar (but not in as good a nick) as that down at windy harbour

its basically one of those fuel stoves with an oven under it. fill the tank with fuel prime it with pressure and light it up the same as you do the new fuel stoves.

If the burners are Primus and the fuel is kero, I'd say you'd have to fill the cups under the burner dome with metho, and once that's burnt down the fuel supply tubes are then hot enough to atomise the pressurised fuel and thus produce a hot flame.

    Eyes, nose, and a mouth.

Looks like a metal pig with some kind of growth.

    Cute.

Thanks heaps for all the responses.

This pictured one was on Ebay and when I went in to TW Sands to discuss it, the woman had just gotten off the phone with a person who had said hell or high water he was having it. A bidding war ensued, I felt satisfied as he won at many hundreds of dollars.

The burners are just stock regulating Primus ones with the cup underneath for priming and two top flame caps. No one I've contacted seems to know the make and model of the stove ipse.

I've got a few of the single burner Primus types but for transit the regulating burners are handy to shut off any fuel flow.
