I enjoy going places that only my 4wd can take me
I need a 4wd for accessing work / farm sites / carrying equipment
I enjoy the challenge of conquering obstacles on tracks
My family enjoys coming with me
It gets me away from it all
I like to see how my 4wd copes with challenging terrain
I enjoy driving a vehicle that is taller / larger than other cars
What's that lever for?
Number 1 was the option for me

'51 80", Discovery 2, Defender 130, 101 FC + 20 other Land Rover vehicles
Yep, there are lots of reasons to own a Discovery, in particular, for towing.
Firstly they are very stable vehicles, secondly they are a very comfortable vehicle with a fantastic seats (D1 is anyway).
The cushioning is superior to most vehicles and the leather great to sit on, just like Jaguars.
But the third reason is, no one other than a Land Rover owner, knows how old it is.
Those who have seen mine are surprised when I tell them it is 11 years old. Because of it's condition, most think it is one to two years old.
Now you don't get that with Jap vehicles. Just about everyone knows roughly how old they are.
Land Rovers are like Jaguars, timeless![]()
I fixed that problem by getting rid of the Equine member of the family and then ****ing off all the associated freinds that came with it.
Problem fixed, no more horse float
By the way I voted for #1 but I could have voted for more of the above, I was going to vote for the last one but Landyandy got in first so it's not funny anymore
You need to add:
I need it for pulling other vehicals and machines out of water/mud
