Would a rose by any other name smell as sweet

Is it just me or do others out there get p****** off when people call things by the wrong name?

My current bug bear is the "New Defender" as Land Rover call it. Why is it being called Defender PUMA by every other Johnny? How did the name Puma come into exsistance when the engine is called DuraTorq? (trademark of Ford Motor Company)

Please, there must be someone out there that can enlighten me.

It was codenamed PUMA during development. Ford Duratorq engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Now lets address a real issue... people who spell Tdi... TDI or [god forbid] TDi

Also, Ford specify that it is spelt "Duratorq", not "DuraTorq"

Well I have seen it referred to as Tdci and my insurance recognises it as DT4.

I always thought it should have been called the "Trans-fender".

Well I'm glad that's all cleared up now.

I shall have to start refering to mine as a Land Rover (Ford) Defender Storm Td5 Xtreme 110 Station Wagon with Thunder Electronic engine control unit.
