    Cool Which gearbox is which

    Hi all

My mate is doing up his Rangie, its a 89 model with formerly a VM diesel and will soon sport a 3.6 ISUZU.
What we are trying to work out is it a LT77 or a LT77s or the spanish santana which was so succesful.
Can anyone help and does anyone have an adapter they want to sell for conversion.

Well it wont be an LT85 Santana as they were never fitted to rangies so it will be an LT77, from what i can find the LT77s never went into a rangie only disco's and 90/110 defenders to 93 or there abouts.

The first of the VM rangies were 2 door so could be, but it would have to be an 87/88 year and we didnt get any 2drs after 84 except for the odd CSK.

Thanks, that's what I feared. Not big fan of LT77.
Anyway, might see how it holds up, might surprise me.
