    I run an optima yellow top in my disco and am very happy with it.
    It goes for long periods without being used and doesn't go flat like wet cells do and always has plenty of capacity for my winch when I'm stuck.

    Do you know someone in the telecommunications or UPS industry ? - hundreds of sealed deep cycle batteries get replaced regularly under preventative maintenance. Usually there is plenty of life left in them. Usually top quality too.

    The one in the link I posted isn't actually an Optima, its a copy.
    Described as a dual purpose battery.
