    Anyone had Kumho tyres ??

Gday everyone...anyone had any experience with Kumho tyres ??
i currently have BFG's AT's and am very happy with them but like the look of the Kumho KL71 Kumho Tyres Australia Pty Ltd
Just wondering if anyone knows how they wear ?? grip ?? strength ??
    Thanks

I've had a set of KL78/KL41 ATs for the past three years, done something more than 40K on them still have around 5mm of tread before they hit the wear indicators.

Bought five at a go and rotating them, so pretty even wear.

Cheap, not as impressed by wear as I'd like to be, but that's mostly at the thought of forking out again. They have a few slashes from rocks, no punctures, mostly road use.

    Cheers

    Hey Adrian

I've got them on my 1990 rangie in the 31/10.5/15 size. They're a reasonably soft compound, but this seems to make them great offroad. They're wearing reasonably well, couldn't really tell you how many km's I've got so far, as I swap occassionally to the road tyres. The grip is great, the sidewall lugs i've found to work well. There are some pics in the Gold Coast trip reports - the red rangie.

I bought them when they were first released through Fourby's at Moorooka in Brisbane in early 06 but couldn't fit them straight away until I sorted the lift out - the offset of the rims meant the tyres touched in the inner of the rear doors.

I had the BFG Muds on my old rangie but prefer the Kumho's

I was talking to the sales manager of Europe for Kumho tyres at Gayden
They are pushing really hard for the 4x4 market. They make a tyre now for the off road racing boys which is going down really well for them . And they are throwing sponsership all over the place to get a name in 4x4's

This is the last car i drove with Kumho tyres on and they felt fine when i drove this
