    Top Gear Australia Hosts Announced

The Australian version of Top Gear now has it’s hosts — Motorsport commentator Charlie Cox, cartoonist Warren Brown and driving instructor Steve Pizzati.
Currently a motorsport commentator for the BBC, Cox, 47, is known for his classic one-liners.
He worked in radio in Sydney in the 1980s before moving to the UK where he won several motor racing titles in the 1990s and was involved in a near life-ending crash in 1995.
Brown, in his mid-40s, is best known for his work as a cartoonist and motoring columnist for The Daily Telegraph, but also has a passion for historic cars.
The third host, Steve Pizzati, is the youngest of the bunch, in his mid 30s.
He is an advanced driving instructor, freelance motoring journalist and a race driver for Porsche Australia.
Sydney Morning Herald motoring editor Josh Dowling will act as the motor industry consultant.
So what do you think of their choices for hosts? Leave your comments here.

Their getting a bit stale lately
They ar'nt interested unless it's a Porshe , Lambo , Merc or anything else over the BigBuck mark

And that Ute with Outboard motor episode, 200? Hp motor sunk for a "Test"
Make me cry, $20k of motor destroyed / Why did'nt they just give it to me .... I'ld show them how to have fun with it .... (ever been on water at 60 knots? / Neither have I ) ... Ive got a 175 Hp on a stand begging for a hull

hmm.... I'm not much of a fan of Warren Brown and have to admit I don't know the others. I sure hope they are a hell of a lot better then Brown.

Because they of nature to show the "unusual"
Would'nt it be great if they started from the begining with say a "Model T" race or did their lap times with the "Guest stars" in a old MG or Mini??

Not good with their names either .... But the episode where "PointDexter" fitted out a Merc with a Ton of concrete and made the interior look like a "Cottage" ... I think they lost the plot

Will be interesting to see if this show is any good, Like the yanks buying up good Uk stuff and then turning it into a pile of crap. You can never try and recreate what Top Gear Uk has done so for many years, those guy seem to have such a laugh making the program, and Top Gear before that was very boring, run of the mill standard production cars, sure they review very expensive cars, but if you want a review on a normal car, but a mag, check the blogs.... I do however wish them lots of luck, and iam sure what with the BBC backing the show and having a major say in how it will look, it should be ok

The show will sink or swim depended on weather it stands alone or if car companies pay them off to get good reviews.I will bet a weeks wage it will be the later. Pat

They will be hard pushed to match the chemistry between clarkson and co. we`ll have to wait and see.
A must see is the new top gear that starts next week, the trip they do through Africa is just brilliant.

(i get top gear tapes sent through from england so dont have to wait years to see it here)

With all of the Aussie hosts being "known in the trade" it becomes apparent that the competition SBS ran to "win your place on the Australian Top Gear Team" was yet another scam. Joe public never really had a chance

Frankly I'm all scammed out this week........

Will give them ten minutes of the first program to prove themselves or I'll be deleting them off my viewing program.

Just looked at the news.com link ............does anyone else think the choice was quite formulaic.....I mean there a short bloke with a huge grin (Hammond mimmick?) another with an almost bouffant hairdo (May clone) and a press motoring journo with a potential for witty one liners (Clarkson copycat?)

I've spent too long on this post already
    Goodbye
