    Hi Mark,

I have heard nothing like that!
If anything, the Esk Shire is trying to stop four wheel drive access, where ever they can

There is a nice drive up near Hampton/Crows Nest, 30 odd km up from Esk.

Gday Friz, a bloke was telling me some stuff about it on Friday, like the people who are doing it had approvals from the Esk council (???i have searched for Esk council for anything and found nothing) and the owners are supposed to have all amenities (all new). Iam hoping to see this guy Thursday when i go back to work and will get as much info as i can.

RonMac, thanks for that link, it looks real good and we may have to do a nice winters day trip on one of them. I used to love riding the bike up Esk Hampton RD when ever we had the chance

    Hi Mark,

The drive from Esk to Hampton is fantastic
The road is really good and the scenery superb.

Have been up there twice, recently, one towing the van to Crows Nest and the other on a sight seeing mission

The look out and picnic area at Ravensbourne is spectacular!

    Cheers,
    Ron

Yep one of the best ways to get to Toowoomba i think, at the end of our westward trip we will be at Crows Nest for 2 nights around 11th june we will be comming back down that way, it should be a lot easier with the van than comming down Toowoomba range.
