As you've probably heard, I had another retinal tear so that meant another stint of surgery.
Unfortunately, the first operation caused the cataract in the left eye to get worse. That meant the surgeon couldn't see into my eye to fix the retina.
Consequently, he had to do a lensectomy (removal of the lens in the eye). Normally, this isn't a problem, they usually fit a lens implant. However, they were unable to get any measurements off my eye to select an implant.
So, at the moment, I don't have a lens in the left eye so my vision is impaired. I saw the surgeon today and I should be able to get an implant in a couple of months.
At least I'm up and about now and not required to spend my day face down. :)
I won't be spending as much time as usual on here as reading a screen isn't that easy as I'm left eye dominant and it was the left eye that had the problem. ;)
My post count has taken a beating having not been on line for a couple of weeks! :D
Dunno if I'll have to sell the Disco, the eye repair bills are up to over $7,000 so far.
